We're hiring a fully remote Software/Database Developer to provide emerging Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Navy (DON) information technology. We design, develop, engineer, and maintain systems that will improve customer organizational efficiency. Due to the nature of the role, only U.S. Citizens may be considered.

Role and Responsibilities:

* Development of new or improved functionality or re-engineer existing functionality.

Responsible for unit testing, code implementation, and documentation to support all software development actions ensuring interoperability with all server-side containerized solutions using standard scripting languages to include Java Script and possibly Python and Perl.

* Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

Education:

BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related discipline. Alternate to college degree, candidates can have a minimum of 12 years' experience.

Technical:

Five (5) years of experience in required software development technologies.

Translated application requirements to fully functional software solutions for the end-user.

Participated in design discussions and code reviews.

Developed and maintain unit-tests for all coded functionalities.

Reviewed code and data for possible security vulnerabilities and maintain safety standards.

Assisted in building the database, based on approved design, and industry best practices.

* Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:

Prior Navy related experience preferred.

Expertise in planning, requirements gathering, and design utilizing an Agile methodology for the software development life cycle (SDLC) with testing, code implementation, and documentation ensuring interoperability with containerized solutions using standard scripting languages including but not limited JavaScript, and additional experience with Python, and Perl is more valuable to the client.

Individual shall be well educated with standard scripting languages as well as object-oriented programming languages, including but not limited to Java and C#, possibly C++. , and low coding on a traditional development platform including Appian, and possibly ServiceNow and Salesforce developmental platforms.

The individual shall be experienced with utilizing Robotic Process Automation tools such as UiPath, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, and Power Apps to assist the client with process automation efforts within various GOTS and COTS products. The individual shall have experience customizing JIRA projects with various schemes, complex workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes. The individual shall have experience configuring the layout and design of JIRA boards and developing wiki pages using Confluence.
