Your Role

As the Business Process Expert, you will be responsible for maintaining, improving and providing training on the systems and tools used within the Purchasing Team. You will be responsible for optimizing processes, improving systems & tools and increasing and improving transparency & communication with the ultimate ambition to shorten process lead times, automate processes and proactively detect possible disruptions.

You will work a hybrid schedule #LI-Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 from home) and be based out of our South Charlotte location. You will report directly to the Purchasing Manager and work with a team of four other Purchasing professionals and work with a global network of Atlas Copco employees.

  • You will evaluate current systems, tools and processes used by Purchasing Team and identify potential gaps & areas of improvement

  • You will initiate and lead projects to improve and/or create systems, tools and processes used by Purchasing Team

  • You will initiate testing, rolling out and following up on system adjustments, new systems and tools

  • You will Organize and provide training and further education in regard to relevant systems, tools and processes

  • You will analyze and ensure accuracy of data created by the different systems and tools (reporting, ERP systems, etc.)

  • You will align with local and global teams to ensure best practices are implemented

  • You will monitor and secure the knowledge of current and new systems, tools and processes

  • You will provide continuous monitoring of market developments regarding supply chain solutions

  • You will perform other duties as needed

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, computer science or related field (or equivalent work experience)

Experience

  • Interest in developing productivity improvement applications

  • Interest and affinity in network and IT solutions

  • Good knowledge and experience in SQL or other programming languages

  • Ability to develop and implement new processes

  • Focus on continuous improvement

  • 1+ years of experience in a production environment

  • 1+ years of experience in purchasing

Skills

  • Logical and analytical thinking

  • Experience managing projects

  • Experience influencing partners and delivering positive change

  • Organized, self-motivated and able to work independently

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
