Sentara Medical Group is now seeking a Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist.

Hours: Full-Time, Day Shift

**This position is eligible for remote or hybrid teleworking arrangement in VA OR NC ONLY!.**

The Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for managing patient drug therapy in accordance with the medical staff approved clinical practice standards. Maintains current knowledge of drug use through continuing education. Serves as the primary resource for drug information. Assures the appropriateness of all physician medication orders. Precepts pharmacy students as assigned.

Sentara Medical Group's Pharmacy Department considers teleworking to be a viable alternative work arrangement in cases where individual, job, and supervisor characteristics are best suited to such an arrangement. Teleworking allows an employee to work at a remote location for all or part of their regular workweek. Teleworking is a work alternative that may be appropriate for some employees and some jobs. Qualifications:

  • Pharmacist License (VA or NC)
  • Bachelor's of Pharmacy
  • 1 year Pharmacist experience required

Job Summary

Required experience must be in a retail setting. Will consider pharmacists not licensed in Virginia due to relocation. Must have Virginia license within 90 days of Sentara start date.

Qualifications:

BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree: Pharmacy (Required)

Pharmacist License (RPh) - State license - North Carolina Board of Pharmacy (NCBOP), Pharmacist License (RPh) - State license - Other/National, Pharmacist License (RPh) - State license - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
