Primary Duties (5-7 Key responsibilities)
  • Keep Manufacturing Equipment operational at all times. Troubleshoot/fix down equipment. Create and maintain a library of replacement parts for equipment (high wear & failure prone items)
  • Performs PM on production equipment, plans equipment downtime to minimize disruptions to daily output.
  • Ensure safe use and proper care of manufacturing equipment by creating, maintaining, and training on standard operating procedures.
  • Understand daily production KPIs and help reduce/eliminate production bottlenecks by making observations and soliciting feedback from shop technicians/supervisors/leads.
  • Follow all General Manufacturing Practices and company safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Help implement new production equipment. Your input will be requested for validation of equipment and be solicited for input into development and manufacturing process improvements.
  • Assist in cross-training operators on all pieces of equipment in the production areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, experience in Data collection, data mining and making data driven decisions. CAD software and ability to create/read drawings a plus.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, i.e. machining, stamping, casting, injection molding, welding etc.
  • Understanding of basic electrical systems and wiring diagrams, ability to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Work in a team environment or independently when needed, with all levels and diverse workgroups
  • Even temperament and level-headed to function well under pressure and during periods of emergency. Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate.
Education And/Or experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate degree is a plus
  • 3+ years of Experience in hands-on manufacturing and/or mechanical repair operations.
  • Driveline/Driveshaft manufacturing experience a plus.
