The Supervisor shall serve as the supervisor of the installation team and will be responsible for the installation team’s performance. The Supervisor shall be considered a technical expert in analog and digital CCTV security systems; having at least five years experience installing, programming, and troubleshooting CCTV systems and IP networks.
The Supervisor must demonstrate the following in order to be considered qualified for this position:
* Able to effectively lead a small installation team.
* Formal installation and programming training and a minimum of five years experience in analog CCTV systems (Bosch), digital CCTV systems, and computer networking.
* Experience installing electronic components supporting IP network installations and analog CCTV systems, installing/splicing/terminating/testing copper cabling, fiber optic cabling, electrical wiring, and other cabling.
* Experience developing work plans, estimating material, estimating labor hours, identifying project obstacles, communicating with stake holders, and developing progress reports.
* Formal training, experience, and skills in the use of equipment such as an OTDR, Oscilloscope, and Multi-meter.
* Be able to terminate connectors such as BNC, ST, LC, SC, RJ-45, DB-9, and other similar connectors.
* Be familiar with and understand applicable codes and regulations.
* Skill in interpreting blue prints, floor plans, specifications, and contract documents.
* Able to bend and install EMT, RGS, PVC, and other types of conduit with minimal waste.
* Experience with CAD.
* Experience with MS Project.
* An Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or similar. Military or trade schools with comparable curriculums may be acceptable at the discretion of the PPS Supervisor.
