COST/PRICE ANALYSTS (Intermediate and Senior)

The BVTI team has supported the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), National Security Agency (NSA), Army, Navy, and Air Force.
 
Best Value Technology, Inc. is seeking Cost/Price Analysts to support government contracting at the Federal Aviation Administration and in the aviation transportation industry. The positions are located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Junior and Mid-level Positions: Provides for cost and price analysis for federal contracts covering pre-award and post award proposals as well as assessments of financial capability and evaluation of appropriate funding options.  Verifies cost data with Government accounting and audit agency recommended rates. Analyzes proposed prices or cost, including such aspects as evaluating technical and audit reports, forecasting price trends, evaluating economic factors, estimating production efficiencies, and evaluating methods of allocating cost through various types of overhead and general and administrative expense.
Senior Positions: Obtains, analyzes and evaluates complex quantitative information utilizing computer-driven analytical systems in order to make comparisons and form recommendations. Performs comparative analysis of vendor terms and/or cost proposals with historical data to develop recommendations on vendor selection, program/contract terms, or prices. Researches and uses the most appropriate methodology to forecast program completion cost. Verifies cost data with Government accounting and audit agency recommended rates. Analyzes proposed prices or cost, including such aspects as evaluating technical and audit reports, forecasting price trends, evaluating economic factors, estimating production efficiencies, and evaluating methods of allocating cost through various types of overhead and general and administrative expense.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated experience in providing cost and pricing tasks in the federal contracting area.
  • Four year college degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance, Procurement and Contracting, or related field, or equivalent professional training. Masters degree preferred.
  • Senior positions – 10 years of relevant professional experience in contract administration or acquisitions of large, complex federal government programs, systems or contracts.  
  • Mid-Level positions – 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Contracting and acquisition certifications that establish both credibility and capability, preferred.
  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass background investigation/drug test
