The nation’s largest child advocacy association currently has an opening for a Membership/Field Coordinator located in Alexandria, Virginia. The Membership/Field Coordinator provides support services to the Membership/Field workgroup and undertakes general administrative and program-related responsibilities, as assigned. Coordinates the execution of projects developed by Membership/Field staff to support state and local unit functions and increase the number of units and the number of members in PTA. Administers membership and field materials working with Information Center and Office Services, tracks National rep requests, required state documents, departmental budgets, responds to membership/field information requests and compiles reports on membership trends.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, meetings management, or related field or equivalent experience; minimum 3 years related experience; and previous experience working with volunteer leaders in a non-profit setting is preferred. Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service, effectively communicate both in writing and verbally and follow oral and written instructions. Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and planning skills.
Ability to prioritize work to meet established deadlines is required. Also, the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail, work independently and in a cooperative team situation, and monitor tasks to completion with minimal direction is required. Working knowledge of a windows based operating environment, competency in MS Office applications is required.
